SEPULTURA Frontman's MUSICA DIABLO To Enter Studio In December

November 16, 2009

MUSICA DIABLO — the São Paulo, Brazil-based thrash metal project featuring SEPULTURA singer Derrick Green, guitarist André NM (NITROMINDS) and bassist Ricardo Brigas — has parted ways with drummer Marcão (AÇÃO DIRETA, DEAD FISH) and has replaced him with Edu Nicollini (NITROMINDS).

The band will enter the studio in December to begin recording its debut album for an early 2010 release via an as-yet-undetermined record label. 13 songs will be laid down during the sessions, including "Live To Buy", "Twisted Hate", "Work Out" and "The Flame Of Anger".

Commented André: "All plans have been delayed because we are adding a second guitar player and the auditions are taking a lot of time. Some really cool guys are being tested for the band making the choice much harder than we expected!"

Regarding MUSICA DIABLO's upcoming touring plans, Derrick said: "I believe we should start out by doing major cities and festivals. I know that each new band has to start somewhere! It's not going to be easy but nothing is easy in this world! I know we will do our best and I will do the same with the music and the performance!"

Behind-the-scenes footage from MUSICA DIABLO's first photo session, which took place in May in São Paulo, can be viewed below. The session was held at the CBB bar and was overseen by photographer Charline Messa, who has previously taken studio pictures of such acts as THE CULT, JOHN LORD, SEPULTURA, DEFTONES and the MISFITS.
